From the sofa

I needed a small procedure done in hospital this morning, nothing serious. I think it took longer to sort the bill. To be paid by the health fund direct would’ve cost €500 and prior agreement.. cash, and I mean cash because they didn’t have card payment facilities, was €210!! And the doctor kindly loaned me the money because I have a foreign bank account. Unbelievable!
Home to rest, thankfully accompanied by a kind friend who came back early evening. Cancel your classes, she said! She was right but I didn’t.. the doctor’s rooms said I could teach.. hmm… At 10pm after two hours online I crawled the two feet from my desk to the sofa, then to bed.
Making progress with an HR issue.. I think I’ve been underpaid..
