Drains
Sent to me by M who is spending the week in Winchester. Not sure if this was taken early morning or late afternoon but she does a dog walk at both ends of the day. I am pleased that she is having a nice week.
My day started with BP and it went rapidly downhill after that. OH had a shower and noticed the water wasn't draining away in the sink. He fiddled around and managed to unblock the drain (full of hair and congealed toothpaste). It was a major effort to put the waste back together but he managed it. Next problem - the downstairs loo wasn't emptying properly so he went outside to investigate, taking off the manhole cover and the drain was almost full and backing up! FFS - it involved a call to dyna rod to come and unblock it. Next OH drove to Travis Perkins to get some wood and half way there got a puncture! The car was booked into the tyre place this afternoon for new tyres and the puncture shows they were well overdue! Four tyres and drains unblocking and not much change out of £1000.
But on the plus side - I managed to change the dates on holiday with No.1 in March. Consultant had given his agreement that it would be ok for her to go away (she will be mid chemo cycle). On the phone to BA for almost two hours as the call kept dropping out although they kept telling me 'my call is important to them' . However - mission accomplished and we will be dreaming of sunshine and sunbeds in March for a bit of pre-wedding R&R and some sun tanning.
