A Cracking Log

Not much achieved today..a bitter wind blowing so I didn’t venture out for long.

I am fascinated by this large tree trunk section…(sad isn’t it..). It has been in this spot for a few years now….intended to deter vehicular (and caravan) access to a footpath/cyclepath. Over time the bark has mostly disappeared, revealing fabulous grain patterns and now this end has the huge cracks developing as it decays.
