A day out
My daughter wanted to visit the antique centre at Weedon Bec today and we also went into the visitors centre to learn about the history of the place. Once known as The Royal Ordnance Depot it was built as a secure place to store equipment, ammunition and weapons for use by the British Army. It fulfilled its function from the Napoleonic Wars to the end of National Service. It was sold by the army in1984 and now offers unique workshops and offices in these heritage buildings. Went to Market Harborough for a late lunch.
