The Morris 8 is fitted with trafficators  (extendable arms which light up) as opposed to the modern blinking indicator. These were notoriously unreliable so Morris fitted thei cars with two small mirrors, one each side at the top of the windscreen. These enabled the driver to glance upwards and make sure that the trafficators were working.
