Feasting

School went well this morning, with the kids enjoying the opportunity to do lots of colouring in. The older class were into telling jokes today (though we had to have little chat about racism after one series of jokes) and they were very impressed by my first joke in French.

Later painting for me while Mr B toiled on repairing the stairs and the downstairs loo - a thankless task since at the end of it the best we can hope for is that it looks the same as before we started.

Later still some depressing news from Scotland put a downer on the day. We are fighting through with a celebratory raclette, but a fear a world of trouble is about to hit us.

Oh, and the joke: what do you call a female hamster (in French)?
