Flying into retirement

At the age of 60 these are the final pair of P3 Orion's of the R.N.Z.A.F. completing their circuit of the South Island before landing at Woodbourne Airforce Base in Blenheim.
The replacement is the P8a Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft (A Boeing 737-800 conversion) that will patrol the seas around New Zealand.

The Extra is the 20th Monarch butterfly we have released this summer and it seem we are making a difference as there are more Monarchs around this year than previous years.

A Tuesday ride this week with the forecast for the usual days being poor.
