Can You Stand It?

Does all that empty space drive you crazy, leave you bored stiff, or is it a calming influence?

My eye seems to bounce between the thorny twigs and the void of whiteness. Since there is snow on the tree, there's likely snow on the ground behind the tree. So it's not really just empty nothingness.

I think of successful images having interest throughout, with more engagement than a single subject, but this type of minimalist shot confounds that theory. Food for thought.
