Looking down the hill

This view down one of the steep lanes into the village was for Mono Monday's "looking up/down" theme - down the lane to the white house at the bottom, but also up to the treetops and the ridge of the downs in the distance. I'm blipping it a week late - slowly catching up with my lost days.

It was a dreary and chilly day, rescued by a cosy evening fire and P's excellent ratatouille and tagliatelle, using our summer's aubergines from the freezer and some of the slowly ripening tomatoes from the tray in the garden room.
