Pecking Order

Tony has uploaded the RSPB Gardenwatch results and I will list them below so we can compare with last year's.  It is chilly out there with the wind blowing so no surprise that the elder tree is full of birds stocking up before the coming night.  These starlings were waiting for the feeders to come free.

Pretty similar numbers to last year.  We've had chaffinches and wood pigeons in the tree but not during the count weekend.  In the past the goldcrest has appeared, but we haven't seen it this year...yet.
