High Water mark

Popped over to Hursthole point on Bassenthwaite Lake today - was amazed at how the water levels have dropped since our recent wet spell, and decided to work on an image that showed the high water line. I used a little stopper to get blur in the cloud (as they were moving towards me, the blur would be effective). and used the detritus to lead straight to the tree. I tried compositions with the line coming in from the left and right corners, but from the centre was far more impactful. 

In colour, the definition between the grass and the line wasn't too clear, but by going mono, and darkening the yellows (yes, grass is yellow) it stood out just as I had envisaged.
