The weather continues to confuse ...
... locals and tourists alike.
It looks as though these two were experiencing difference weather effects at the same time.
Rant alert
I don't know if I should laugh or cry. I like to think I believe in democracy but sometimes I am astounded by its results. The South Dakota Legislature passed a resolution calling for balanced teaching of global warming in the public schools of South Dakota. In it they state
That there are a variety of climatological, meteorological, astrological, thermological, cosmological, and ecological dynamics that can effect world weather phenomena and that the significance and interrelativity of these factors is largely speculative.
So our democratically elected leaders want to teach children that climate change might be due to horoscopes. Astrology!
Anyone have any idea what thermological is? I am not sure it is a real word but thermology is a discourse/account of heat. Discourse means communication of thought by words. So talking about heat may be responsible for climate change.
Balanced teaching makes sense but it has to be based in reality.
End of rant
Note 1. No tourists were harmed/exposed to astrology/engaged in discussion about heat in the production of this blip.
Note 2. No offence is intended to the people of South Dakota but they might want to think twice at the next election.
Note 3. No offence intended to those who read horoscopes but, sorry, it is not a science.
