I was watching Laura Kuenssberg this morning when the news that Sunak had finally sacked Zahawi broke. Better late than never I suppose. Is there no end to the transgressions of the current government? This week I have been reading a library book about the fall of Boris Johnson. It's a singularly depressing read about a bunch of people whose only thoughts are about themselves. And as one lot of freeloaders move on another lot seem to take their place. Does Sunak really think that Zahawi ...should be extremely proud of your wide-ranging achievements in government...? I despair.
As a change from the dirty world of politics I moved to the dirty world of my car. It was filthy and covered with slime. It took some effort to get it clean but after an hour of lathering and rinsing it looked a heap better. Pity the government couldn't be sorted with a bit of soap and water.
This evening was TV time for me. I watched the end of the Wrexham v Sheffield United match (what a turn of events), Dancing on Ice and then The Great Pottery Throwdown.
