Introducing ..
..the girls to 1950’s technology!
A mizzly, drizzly day but John was off on a run before the rest of us got up.
Chris was playing tea parties with Eda before breakfast and then we got out paper dressing dolls for Eda and sticker books for Jude.
A bit of ‘Bluey’ on the TV, which had Chris laughing out loud and then, rain or no, we headed down to Alice Park. Eda had very thoughtfully taken a towel for wet slides and swings and the girls had a good time but wet hands meant we were cold by the time we got to the cafe for much needed hot drinks.
The outdoor seating area is covered but we decided to squeeze inside to warm up more quickly.
They have a Juke Box and we were handed the list of records to choose from. There’s no charge. Grace chose the girls initials and ages and then her initial and birthday no. ( 8th February) to select random songs. They were fascinated by the action of the selection wheel and the disc dropping down. Then they all had to dance of course!
Eda wanted to stay to do Chris’ and my initial and birth dates but we had to get back to a lovely roast dinner being prepared by daddy for lunch. After, just before we left, Eda was making the gf Colin the Caterpillar cookies that I’d found her in M & S.
Visit over now but we will see them here for a few days at half term which is not very far away.
We’re just home in time for Happy Valley!
There was a wonderful scent when we came into the house. My Hyacinths are blooming so they will no doubt be a future blip
