Tuckered out

Managed to speak to/see all our children today. A fabulous catch up call with our son and his wife this morning before they head off on a belated honeymoon to the Maldives on Thursday and we spent the afternoon into evening with our daughter and her boyfriend. Connor’s Doberman puppy (8 months) was here too and he and Phin had a great time playing in the garden and in the dog park all afternoon.

The boys were exhausted but wouldn’t settle until they’d managed to wheedle a little but of roast chicken from us at dinner. Connor brought a very fine bottle of Israeli wine with him which was much appreciated and paired beautifully with the chicken.

After the kids left to meet friends in town it took Phin all of 5 minutes to crash on the sofa.
