RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

40 Sparrows (probably more, I got up to 40 before half the flock took off and I lost count)
12 Starlings
9 Collared Doves
4 Feral Pigeons
4 Long Tailed Tits
3 Great Tits
3 Blue Tits
3 Goldfinches
3 Blackbirds
3 Jackdaws
2 Wood Pigeons
2 Magpies
2 Robins (Robbie Junior has found a mate)
1 Dunnock
1 Black Cap

It was with a great deal of trepidation that I went out to feed the birds this morning, half expecting to find that yesterday’s poorly Collared Dove hadn’t survived the night. I was very relieved to find that there was no sign of the bird, but I washed out the bird water dishes and the feeder that the doves use, just in case there was any risk of disease. However, by lunchtime I noticed that the poorly Collared Dove was back in the garden, firstly just sitting on the path, before hunkering down in the bird feeder tree for the rest of the day. At a loss as to know what to do for it...

My collage shows just some of the birds I spotted in the garden, all long distance pics taken through the window on a dreary morning, apart from Robbie Junior who now comes up to me for his breakfast most mornings, often accompanied by Roberta.

Thank you.
