Penpole Point

Erected by the Merchant Venturers as a shipping mark at the entrance to the River Avon. Now obscured by trees.

Out on an 11/12 mile run from home to Ashton Court. Fun times! The run took me across the Downs, through Sea Mills, over the Avonmouth M5 motorway bridge over the Avon and back through Pill. I then ran along the Pill-Bristol path next to the River Avon before heading up the hill to Ashton Court.

Came home to complete school work and try and have a go at engaging with a course I have been doing. It's that time of year when teaching jobs start to appear elsewhere and even I get a bit of wanderlust even though I have been in the same school for 20 years. Perhaps I need to be a bit braver and get out there!
