Melrose

This Weekends jaunt is down to visit a friend in Roxburghshire. We met in Melrose for a lovely brunch and wander about. Randomly I bumped into a friend (from Peebles) in the coffee shop.

Then it was over to Newton St Boswells to visit the famous book shop (and deli), had a jolly good browse and lo and behold bumped into another friend (from Edinburgh) - one who was really freaked out as she'd never been that way before and had apparently been talking about me just half an hour earlier!

Then we headed back to my friends house in the middle of nowhere (Makerstoun). We managed a wee walk by the river before the sun set, there were snowdrops everywhere - so pretty.

Then it was back to get the fire lit and relax with a nice bottle of wine. It was an early night but we'd had such a lovely day.
