Family day

My nephew and family are visiting from California so we drove over to my sisters for a lovely family lunch.  She has a big house so seating 16 was not a problem and is a good cook who enjoys entertaining.  The house was warmer than usual so thick socks were not needed!  It was so good to see everyone and C&E three children are adorable and so well behaved and adjusted, happily playing or chatting.  No.1 did really well although was extremely tired by the time we drove home.  OH watched sport on TV and I went to bed with my iPad.  Sometimes feels like there is a gulf between us - I must work hard to make sure it is only temporary.
