Knitting!

Today has been dedicated to the highest level of knitting geekery in the form of the annual Knitting History Forum. It’s an online platform for some of the top researchers in the field to share their findings, methods, collections and stories. This year’s programme featured talks on Estonian mittens, the male knitters of the Atlas Mountains, Icelandic knitting traditions, new developments in Andean knitting and cap designs, and Peruvian knitting. Total and utter heaven for me and my crafting pal, Marie.
Obviously we knitted all the way through, along with the 200 others from all over the world who also watched the conference.
Next week I go to Dorset to help move my elderly mum from her bungalow into a flat and I can’t think of a better way to prepare for that than a day in such congenial company.

I hope you’re all enjoying your weekends. Thank you very much for the recent hearts, stars and kind comments. I’m catching up with your journals!
