Down by the river

Wandered down by the river after filling up the car with petrol as the warning light had come on, thankfully not far from home, after visiting all the venues at the quilt show yesterday.........bit tired but worth going

Think this is a Sycamore tree, according to one of the tree books I have.......The flowers hang on long catkin like structures, males towards the tip which is later shed and females near the base remaining to become fruit, which may be scarlet

Washing has been hung out and hopefully the big black cloud hanging around about an hour ago does not return
