Wanderings and meanders

There were lots of birds to see, most too swift for me to capture but I enjoyed listening to their calls.  Highlights for me included a goldcrest, lots of wrens, blue tits, long-tailed tits and magpies.  Quite a few clumps of snowdrops had also emerged.  It was bright in the sunshine but still pretty cold.

Wandered across to the Botanics afterward and happened to bump into a former colleague who is now on mat leave.
