Cramond
We were up and out early today. It has been a lovely day and we wanted to make the most of it with a good walk. We headed to South Queensferry on the River Forth and had a snack at the Three Bridges, before travelling the short distance to Cramond.
It was beautiful there and lots of people out and about, walkers, cyclists, families..... we watched some brave souls crossing the Causeway to Cramond Island, rather narrow at times, not for me.
We then walked up the River Almond, which flows into the Forth, and made it up to the Weir. I had hoped to see a heron there, as I did last time, but no luck today.
We returned back to the village and visited Cramond Kirk and Kirkyard, a beautiful church, with a manse nearly as big as the church.
After a quick coffee in the sunshine at the Cramond Bistro, we hit the road home, and were home in daylight.
