Another Leica group coffee meeting this morning in Adelaide. The main show and tell was a very sad looking Leica M3 body that Rolf found in a box (seems that Rolf has so many cameras he is not sure what he has). The shutter on this poor, neglected thing didn't work. The boffins around the table, mainly Tom who you see here, found that the lubricants had set solid. Some gentle coaxing got the shutter working again, sort of. They are built like tanks and this one can be resurrected by a technician. This photo was taken with a borrowed Canon rangefinder lens, 1950s vintage. The photo would have been better if I stopped down a bit so you could see that M3.

If you want to see a well used M3 check out this one owned by Elliott Erwitt.
