A run (and a swim) in the park

Lola Malu is fast as a bullet, and there are few things she enjoys more than being chased. She will go to great lengths to tease and entice you with what she believes is a highly desirable object - like, maybe an old sock, or a tennis ball, or a twig. Then, once you're hooked, the chase is on. Sam, the pitbull we met at Lake Padden today, took the bait, and tried his best to catch up with Lola but she easily outran him.

They took their game into the water as well. There is a very picturesque "Dog Exercise Play Area" at Lake Padden, complete with beautiful water lilies, calm, clean water, and beautiful trees. Lola is nearly as fast in water as she is out. With her short, dense coat, webbed feet, and streamlined physique, she cuts through the water with ease.

Next goal: learning to run off a dock and catch a frisbee! (Lola, that is, not me.)
