Aqua dome

N does his research and when I say research I mean research.
When booking a ski trip for the terrified (me) he found a resort with lots of easy blues, a hotel with exceptional food, and a spa in case it all went t**s up… but also proximity to one of the best ( If not THE best) spa in Austria

Unfortunately no photos allowed so this was nicked from the t’internet.
After a hard days skiing we hopped in the bus to Langenfeld and there we found paradise. Apart from the pools outdoors which found me gazing at the stars in a salt pool full of firefly lights, the Saunaworld was out of this world. And a tad bonkers.
Umpteen different saunas including one that was a mock hay barn complete with manger, then there was the enormous Turkish steam room complete with yoghurt to improve my health and beauty’, the Austrian chalet with a huge copper bowl which emptied every five minutes and to top it all the grotto, like a small volcano you stood inside pressed the button and a huge warm rainstorm rained down upon you., complete with thunder and lightening. I opted not to press the KaltDusche as everyone who did screamed
Bonkers

The Austrians sure know how to spa! We stayed so late we forgot to eat, caught the 10.50 bus back, to hit the bar for Aperols only to arrive at our hotel to find it locked up at 11.45 and minus 10.
Squeaky bum ten minutes but thankfully Christian our friendly barman came to the rescue as he was leaving for home.
So many funny memories bottled today. If only life was always like this!
