Winter Walk

Went out to check out the route we walked a couple of weeks ago and to visit the pub to confirm our booking.
It was a bit muddy in places but overall it looked fine for our walking group.
The pub had all the details of our booking but they were absolutely full to the doors and couldn’t fit us in for lunch unless we were prepared to wait an indeterminate time for a table to come vacant. We decided to come home instead.
These winter aconites wasted no time in flowering, it was still below freezing two days ago.
