Gateway...

...Long since bricked up.

A much brighter and warmer afternoon. We decided on a walk around the village for our todays leg stretch.  

I've wanted to photograph this for ages but usually there's a car parked right in front of it. Although it may not look it this feature goes back to the late 1700s. One being the ornamental gateway to The Grip Farm Manor owned by the Flack family. That's all long gone now and the remaining buildings converted into houses. Somewhere behind this wall is a listed Ice House.
