Dahlia

It was so so hot this morning, no consideration of being outside, I even pulled the curtains to tame the heat.
However, this afternoon we had a wind change and much cooler temperatures, no rain though.  We definitely need rain, but up in Auckland and surrounds they are being pounded with excessive rain, gales and dangerous seas.  Apparently every available fire engine Police and defence force staff are helping in rescuing folk and their animals from West Auckland, ....we're seeing unbelievable pictures.
And tonight Elton John is performing to a sell out crowd in Auckland, everyone is drenched even before they get to Mt Smart Stadium. And shocking issues with transport to and fro the stadium as well, some red faces from the transport agencies I would say.
But, the show will go on. (or will it)

Some great tennis this afternoon, and tonight.  Currently watching a semi final -  Tsitsipas v Khachanov, gripping viewing.

A pretty dahlia from my garden for Flower Friday, and then a bee called in (extra)

PS - 30 minutes later.....Eltons Concert has been cancelled, houses being swept away in flood waters.  Terrible !  (Tsitsipas through to the final)
