Out with the Old
This is the last photo I will take with my trusty Nikon D90. It's been fun, but I wanted more, and its replacement has just arrived via a friend in the US.
I'm so excited, I may just wet my pants a little bit. And I'm sure everyone wanted that level of detail.
The camera was easy enough, but finding complementary lenses that weight less than 8kg a piece and didn't require a second mortgage, was tougher.
This is my Getting-out-of the-earthquake-and-insurance-in-one-piece gift to myself. Apparently the new Nikkor 70-200mm f4 is as sharp as their f2.8 offering. Without the above mentioned 8kg/second mortgage bit.
I'm about to find out. And learn the joy of a full-frame camera too.
(small squeak of delight)
