A touch of winter sunshine

I noticed this today when walking down our track.   A rare sunny day  in which one could imagine, alongside the shaft of light,  the merest touch of warmth.

I see from from my blip on this day last year that I have had my "new" weather station up for 12 months.   Total rainfall in that time has been a pretty astonishing and very damp 2718 mm.   That would work out at almost 7.5 mm a day.   

Fortunately not today, but it makes you think !
