Making Valentines

Snowy, now rainy, days are perfect days to make collage Valentine's.  The Edge of Maine Gallery will have an open house on February 12 so I thought I would make some Valentine cards to sell.  I remember making Valentine's cards with my grandmother, one for my parents and one for my teacher.  Mom would help decorate the shoebox with a slit in the lid that I brought to school so friends could put in little cards.  We bought these at Woolworth's.  I loved the process of "cutting and pasting" involved and there were always some paper lace doilies involved as I remember.  Another storm clean-up this afternoon but it's not as bad as we feared, thankfully.
