Halfridge Wood

Hard frost, black ice and freezing fog all made this morning's walk with the spaniel quite adventurous. We walked down into the steep sided north facing valley called Halfridge Wood to the east of Catslip. It is effectively one long frost hollow. You could feel the temperature dropping as you descended through the fog. Near the bottom of the valley the frost was so thick it looked like snow.
