Plaza Santa Anna

Day two in Madrid saw much more mixed weather, but equally a bit less time for enjoyment as it also saw the reason why we were in Madrid, namely for me to do a seminar paper (which went well, thanks very much, since you asked).

We had time for a bit of a wander in the morning, first thing, plus a later wander involving various watering holes around the Plaza Santa Anna and a chance for some world class people watching. Unfortunately, it rained very heavily from about 9pm onwards, but not before we had watched this couple do the well known "mobile dance". Whenever either of them finished a conversation, they looked at the other one, and realised they were still on the phone. They would promptly start another conversation....

The moves were also quite smart. I caught them doing a 'three way dance' with the statue of Lorca, and would be happy to show that as well, if I had the energy to do a collage (or to upload the other photo to my blipfolio).
