Potential.

Today I worked for the first time in nearly a month, though it feels like 6 as getting paid to snowboard is not too strenuous, and it wasn't so bad. I'm back at the Cafe In The Park as potwash and was awesome to catch up with everyone. Some really annoying people have left so we'll see what the replacements are like, but all in all it's a cool place to be for the summer. The new head chef seems to like me and offered me 30-35hrs/wk which is perfect, we'll see if anything else comes up soon, but it means I can commit to buying a DH bike in preparation for next summer.

Speaking with a few people at work, conversation kept leading back to future plans and potential, of which I am discovering more and more that I feel I have a lot of towards a career as a bike/board coach/instructor/guide. Really focusing any finances on making this happen and ensuring I keep active, eat well and research what I can to help give myself the best chance I can, feels pretty good.

I jumped in the garden about half an hour before the sun set and although there were some patches of orange sunlight hitting the fluffy clouds side on; which looked really cool, this shot was the one that stood out to me. Being slightly abstract (which I struggle to get the hang of), I think it shows the potential of a tiny shoot; all the space it has the chance to fill and take advantage of, year by year, and how a steady but direct path will achieve.

It's easy to be part of the main branch, and for some that's fine. For others, like myself, I can't help but want to shoot off (haha) in another direction. Because if the space is there, why not be the one to fill it?
