A knee blanket
Coming home from the airport where we dropped Cecile, we took the old scenic road through Blanco back to George.
This was the view towards the Outeniqua Mountains, just before noon. It literally changed by the minute as ten minutes later, after we had filled the car at a filling station, there was not a cloud in sight.
When we left at the airport (about 12kms from our home), we passed a field where a tractor was busy turning the ground. There must have been about 50 white cattle egret having a tasty lunch as the newly turned soil exposed hundreds of insects and other delicacies.
I stopped by for a few images, but as it was windy and very dusty, the mountain image was a more suitable choice.
This image was shot very much into the sun which is 3 weeks from its turning point, at which time the northern hemisphere's winter will slowly be making it's way back! Sorry!
