January flowers?

J and I both went for runs in Parc André-Citroën today and we both spotted... flowers! It's pretty unbelievable to us Canadians that anything can bloom in late January, and I do think these buds are unusual even for here, but we are certainly enjoying seeing them.

While J ran a couple errands, I managed to get a big task done. I submitted the manuscript of a book I am editing with a colleague to the publisher.  There will be more work on this project before it is truly over, with proofs to read and correct, but this was a big step and we're very pleased to have it done!
