South Georgia - Day Three

A misty morning, we landed at Fortuna Bay. Fur seals and pups aplenty, some elephant seals and a colony of king penguins. The fur seals pups were so curious and cute, the penguins just looked aloof!

In the afternoon, we did a zodiac cruise at Elsehul, specifically to look for albatross, but it was so misty, they were so high on the cliffs, the boat moved too much I didn't even try to take pics. So good to watch the fur seals play around the boat.

We should have had one more day in South Georgia however, at the evening briefing the captain showed the weather charts and a massive storm was coming in - we needed to move on that night. We found out later that a cruise specifically about Shackleton got to South Georgia two days later and had to shelter in a fjord for 4 days, no landings (ouch).
