Leaving Cheltenham and e car infrastructure

The fog had lifted with the trees looking wintery. Cold.

It’s not often I will write this; we had a good drive north on the M5/6, traffic was light and the weather was perfect, the best run for a long time. Although I hate to say this yet again, the infrastructure for electric cars is just not coping. To be fair the motorway service stations are reliable, so far, the issue now is that cars are queuing to wait for charge point availability. Somebody said 28,000 e cars were sold in December, I haven’t checked this fact. The Elon Musk set up, Tesla, tends to have 6-12 charge points in any number of service stations, and, we noticed on this drive each lot was full of Tesla cars.

I recently sent an email to our new MSP and felt very disappointed with the response. Her assistant forwarded words written by our council, sadly weasel words. I want to know what is the GovernmentI thinking on the infrastructure for these cars, (any government, I don’t care). That part was not mentioned in the reply. We will look at the email again in a few days time.

We have driven a good few miles in our seven year old Nissan Leaf and like the car a lot, it’s not the car at fault.

An overnight stop in Cumbria with K and P and by now the frost has disappeared, (can’t be sure but think it was around the Manchester area). A wonderful evening with our friends, although by 9.00pm I was in bed.
