Fresh Dusting
An unexpected snowfall overnight and through the day gave us a fresh dusting, although not enough for the snow plough to come. I always like the texture of these decaying swamp milkweed leaves, I can't say why.
It was windy, so a higher iso, and I used a shallow dof, both to separate the subject and to help with shutter speed. I sensed there was a hole in the lower right corner and thought I might crop to 4:5, but in the end I left it be. Perhaps that's the contrast to all the busyness?
