Eventful day

We walked up to Poynton Pool this morning. The middle was still frozen. The ice must have been quite thick. On the way back we saw a woman pull over to park and bump into a parked van. She then passed out at the wheel. I didn’t see this because the sun was in my eyes. Norm went over and she was just coming round. She was white as a sheet and it had happened before and she’d crashed the car into a field. She hadn’t been to the doctor!! I tried to persuade her to go to the doctor there and then, as it was 5 minutes walk away. I said we’d go with her but she refused. In the end she phoned her husband to come and get her. If she keeps on driving she could kill herself or someone else.
Later in the day the real excitement happened. My son phoned to tell me our granddaughter had given birth to a little girl. I’m thrilled to be a Greatgrandma. All done and dusted during a school day. (She and her mum are both teachers). She’s only had a week at home before the baby arrived a week early.
