Snowdrops

 
Blipped on my way to M&S. I used to be able to get close-ups of these snowdrops which are at Falcon Court, one of my favourite blip-hunting grounds. However, there is now a fence in the way and "Keep out, no trespassing" signs. Luckily these only apply to one of the three blocks and I can still prowl around the other two. I hope the idea doesn't spread.
 
Sad news today that Jenners on Princes Street has had a major fire and that several firefighters have been injured, one critically. Jenners used to be a major department store, probably the classiest in Edinburgh, and one of the oldest in the world. However, it was sold to the Frasers Group and subsequently closed in 2021. It's been under redevelopment to create a boutique hotel as well as retail space and food and drink outlets. Those plans included a major overhaul of the building’s fire safety, but it rather looks as if that hadn’t yet happened.
