Deadwood

This stump of an old oak tree is on the 8th fairway at Stevenage Golf Course. The hole is named on the scorecard as “Deadwood” and we use it as a challenge to get past the stump in two. What you don’t want to do is go inside the stump like Bruce did. This means you have to retrieve it and face a one shot penalty. I don’t think he appreciated me calling out “Bullseye!” As it went in.
