Candlesnuff Fungus

I spotted this small stump with some Candlesnuff (or Stag’s Horn) fungus in a hedgerow alongside the foot/cycle path this morning. It was lit up in a little patch of sun shining through the trees. I had to crawl about in the undergrowth - after climbing over a fence - to get close to it. It felt quite pleasant out today - it’s only a couple of degrees above freezing, but the sun felt quite warm.

Not done a lot today really… I put a batch of beef casserole in the slow cooker this morning - and sorted out some old (reusable) clothes that we can take to a charity shop.


Tea will be easy…beef casserole..just need to mix up some dumplings and chuck them in the air-fryer and steam some broccoli and cauliflower..
