Hatton Locks
Highlights of today include a fantastic lesson with Year 10 this morning. They are such a lovely group. We can have a giggle and then they know when to focus and get on with the work. They are brilliant. Then I had fun at lunchtime with everyone in office. Lots of silly word games and laughter. Just what's needed on a Wednesday lunchtime.
I drove home and spotted the signs for Hatton Locks and thought I'd take some photos of them. They are quite an impressive sight. Here is some information about them:-
It consists of 21 locks on the Grand Union Canal. The flight spans less that 2 miles and has a total rise of 45 metres. It was opened in 1799. An impressive feet of engineering. The church in the background is St.Mary's in Warwick. One of my favourite churches.
