A disappointing day !!

I was hoping to photograph some action American football today.
Both teams turned up the refs turned up and the medic turned up .
Then the opposition protested at the qualifications of the medics saying they were not qualified enough ! We have used this firm all the time i have been photographing them. There was a feeling that the opposition did not want to play , and were looking for an excuse ! It turned out that technically they were correct. By the time the correctly qualified medic turned up , the opposition had changed and were heading for the coach to go home. 
Not sure how this will pan out in the long term, but it looks like at the very least we will not get into the play offs and might also lose funding from the university for next years season !!
I will be missing the next and last home game as I am off to a Bach piano recital  with my eldest that day, so may not find out how this plays out for a while.
