Cheesy welcome

Freezing cold all day. Quick trip out for bread (to the fanciest Sunday baker) where I bumped into an old neighbour.

Tried out the ‘new’ cheese shop (opened just prior to Covid, but this is my first visit) and as she was just about to close I just grabbed one of the pre-prepared platters.

Some outside work: tidying away some hen paraphernalia so Mr B doesn’t have to, and then some scraping on the front if the house. So perishing cold that I only lasted half a podcast on the scraping (20 mins). Also worth noting that it is so cold that the broad beans needed fleece.

Finally, Mr B arrived in a car full of Spanish wine and snacks. Dinner was venison en croute with a bunch of veg sides (can’t remember the last time I cooked a proper meal like that!) And then cheese, obvs.
