Son number one

Yesterday was a bad day.  Somehow today managed to trump it.

So the AA van didn't have the right kind if nuts to give me a tow.  The driver booked another van. The van was going to turn up at 6.30. I told him not to bother as the garage I needed to get my car to shut at 5.00.

I rebooked for this morning between 10.00 and 2.00 thinking that I would be back from taking son number one to the airport.  We got up nice and early, braving -6.5 degrees, andvi dropped him off at Heathrow.  He called me 5 minutes later to tell me that they weren't allowing anyone to take baggage in the hold. Faced with a choice of leaving his suitcase behind or booking on to a flight 12 hours later, he decided to change his flight to Gatwick.

We got to Gatwick and I hurried back home to meet the AA man. Near home I got a call saying they would call me when they'd booked me a van. I said that the garage shut at 4.00 on a Sunday and therefore needed them to get to me before 2.30.  Ten minutes later he rang to say they would be with me at 3.30.  I told him not to bother and wrote an email to the CEO.

What the chuffing Ada is wrong with organisations these days? Absolutely shocking...
