Sunshine

First thing this morning I had to re- read all the bits of the new book I started on Monday evening, had read a bit of each evening, fell asleep each time and realised I had no idea what was going on. Anyway, read it all again, all fine now. Went for a walk with Ella, came home to do a pile of cooking. Then my mum arrived, we walked in the glorious sunshine to the cinema where I made her buy me two large glasses of wine. Then we watched Empires of Light. Excellent film, two short glimpses of Worthing that likely weren’t worth the days of filming disruption, and lots of lovely Margate including the beautiful sea pool. The older lady behind us was not happy from the outset, initially noting this was not a film to cheer you up and then tutted, huffed and puffed throughout finishing up with how it would just make you miserable. We told her how much we enjoyed it.

Home for homemade pizzas and the like. And more Happy Valley. What a nice day.
