Holly

It is surprising what you can find when having a wander in the Lake District.  This small holly tree is growing inside a hollow in the top of a fence post.  It seems to be doing quite well and I hope it does so.  The first time I saw something the same was a walk in Threlkeld.  Here there was a fence post with a sapling growing out of it.  There were trees behind me and to the right of me, but not many were holly trees.  This was by a gate.  A bit different today from Lake District scenes, but I hope you like the out of the ordinary photo.
